Wigley team celebrates success in annual staff awards ceremony

Colleagues from all Wigley businesses came together celebrate the end of a remarkable year and commemorating the outstanding contributions of staff at our annual team building day & awards ceremony at Stockton House.

Each company provided a comprehensive update on the year and provided valuable insight on what’s on the horizon as we move into 2025. Alongside this, the hard work and efforts of staff throughout the year were acknowledged through a trio of awards voted for by the Executive Board, Company Directors, and fellow colleagues.

Wigley Connect’s Compliance Manager Laura Liggins was named as the Employees’ Employee of the Year, which is voted for by colleagues and awarded to the person who not only constantly delivers their work to a very high standard but is also someone who looks to help wherever they can.

Laura has been recognised by several colleagues for her work ethic and always being the first to put her hand up and often going out of her way to help others around the office. She has been identified by her team as someone who demonstrates the company values and leads by example.

Strategic Communications & Brand Manager Katie Wigley-Harris from Wigley Investment Holdings was named as the winner of this year’s Directors’ Award, which is awarded to the employee that the Company Directors feel has demonstrated expertise, hard work and commitment throughout the year.

Katie was recognised for her consistent support to the Directors not only in the delivery of the strategic company reorganisation and brand update which occurred in June, but also working closely with Directors to offer support and insight in the months afterwards.

The winner of the Wigley Award is selected by the Executive Board, acknowledging someone who exemplifies our values, always goes above and beyond, and this year’s award was handed to Design Manager Dan Young from Tyto Contracting.

Dan was recognised by the Executive Board for consistently demonstrating Wigley’s core values. He has acted with integrity and seeks opportunity to continually innovating within his role, which have ensured he has delivered high quality work for Tyto throughout 2024.

These end of year awards are a highlight in the Wigley calendar and give staff the opportunity to share and celebrate each other’s successes.
